A unique collection

Both in the interior architecture and the decoration itself, a fluid conversation takes place between the classic and the contemporary through skilfully selected works of art and carefully arranged objects. Everything here translates the creative vision of these demanding collectors who are the owners, a couple who appreciate British modernism as much as contemporary art, pieces of European design and antiques. From major works by Richard Serra and Ben Nicholson to international and emerging artists like Joaquim Chancho, Lawrence Calver, Terri Brooks and Gerry Judah, the focus is on abstract minimalism and monochrome that celebrate materiality. In the music room, for example, a painting by Alexi Tsioris, white, depicting a pair of standing intertwined figures. Flowing lines and allegorical symbols refer to European modernism and designs by Miro, Picasso and Klee, while Alexi Tsioris' sgraffito technique remains contemporary. The work, specially created in counterpoint to the black paint with three interconnected figures placed in front of it, weaves a peaceful dialogue through the room.
